Teen Pregnancy.

TEEN PREGNANCY

Teen pregnancy is something that is becoming bigger and bigger in our world today. I myself am a teen mother. I got pregnant at 16 and had my beautiful baby boy when I was 17 on September 11th, 2010. With the kind of person I am, and the way I see things, I am not like many teen moms. I dropped everything and I am a very good and caring mother to my child. I am way more mature now, and I am making more wise decisions. Every teenager has drama everyday, they all think that their life is horrible. They think that they are grown and think they could handle anything, until it comes down to responsibility. Teenagers have sex, and they are careless about consequences. Teenagers need to live their lives and learn from mistakes and become wise and successful. When they have babies, that puts a stop to everything for awhile. Teenagers hear things, but they don't realize what is being said. When parents drill things into their heads, they dont listen because they are tired of hearing it and they do what they want. Being a teenager still, I want to reach out to parents and tell them, do not yell at your kids about getting pregnant and having sex, that will just make them do it. Sit down with them, and tell them that they will make mistakes, but having unprotected sex would be one of the biggest mistakes they could make. they are not done growing up, and if they become young parents, they wont get to do the things they love anymore. Teens are just not ready for children. Most teens become pregnant by accident. Honestly, I think highschools and doctors offices should give out condoms, condoms should be cheaper, and birth control should be cheaper. You can't stop teenagers from doing what they want. Doing what they want is how they learn. But, you can explain to them the consequences that will happen. Yelling is not the way to get them to hear you. Being a teen parent is very hard. All teens out there reading this PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PARENTS. I live with my mom still, I had to drop out of school and get my ged, I currently never have the time or energy to hang out with friends.Any tiny bit of money that comes to me, goes towards diapers or wipes or anything else for my son. You have to have patience if you have a child. babies always cry and cant say whats wrong. you lose alot of sleep and have to make many appointments. you have to buy them toys, and things they need. you have to feed and bathe them. Every day I am always on my feet doing something for my son. laundry, making a bottle, changing diapers...etc. When moms say its hard to be a parent THEY ARE NOT LYING! being a parent is probably one of the hardest things to be. and most teens are not able to handle it. TEENS: if you make the choice to have unprotected sex, and you become pregnant, PLEASE ask yourself these questions, am i responsible enough, can I afford it, do I have the patience, am I willing to put the baby first,am i willing to give up everything. if you answer no to any of those, Please dont keep the baby. Think about it, there is another life inside of you, and it is your job to make sure that person has the best life ever, and that is also your parents job, so make sure your child has a great life and is raised and taken care of correctly. If you are not ready DO NOT GET AN ABORTION. I know how terrifying the thought of childbirth is, but abortions are selfish. YOU made the decision to have sex, so you have to deal with the consequences. Just please dont kill someone who is helpless because you cant raise them. If you cant raise the baby, then give they baby to people who can. Please dont be selfish. Think about it, if you couldnt defend yourself, and you did nothing wrong, would u want someone to kill you or put you somewhere where you will be happy? please, just make the right decisions. this world needs to be changed.
